Men's Ministries
Men are called by God to be the spiritual leaders in their homes, to love their
wives, and to provide the primary leadership within the church. This high calling
requires men to be passionately committed to God’s Word (2 Tim 2:15), to God’s church
(1 Peter 5:1-3), to their families (1 Tim 3:4-5), and to honoring God in their career
(Col 3:23,24).
To this end we seek to provide opportunities for men to have weekly encouragement
in practical Christian living as well as in-depth study
of Bible doctrine and spiritual leadership. Additionally we seek to help men
cultivate their gifts by serving the church in a variety of practical
ways.
MMMM
Each Monday morning from 6-7 am, the men meet to study through a book or topic which
will encourage and inspire them to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.
Note: MMMM is not currently meeting, but check here for updates as to when it will start again!
Iron Men – Monday, 6:30 - 7:30 pm
The men work through 10 week modules for in-depth instruction on Bibliology, Systematic
Theology, Hermeneutics/Teaching, and Spiritual Leadership. There are books to read,
a paper to write, quizzes each week, and a final exam!
Prison Ministry
On the last Sunday and following Thursday of each month the men meet at the Blount
County Jail to encourage, pray with, and teach God’s Word to the inmates. Each evening
we have the privilege of ministering to nearly 150 inmates who are starving to hear
God’s Word taught with depth and truth.
Men’s Retreat
Each year we hold a retreat to help us grow in our relationship with the Lord and
with one another. These are excellent times of fellowship and in-depth Bible study.
